Ingram Micro has added j5create to its Australian distribution line-up, enhancing access to connectivity accessories amid its wider strategy to integrate hardware, cloud services, and endpoint management solutions across channels.
Ingram Micro has added j5create to its Australian distribution line-up, giving local channel partners access to the accessories maker’s range of docking stations, USB hubs, display adapters and its Wormhole wireless display and file-sharing tools. The company said the deal is designed to help resellers respond to demand for simpler connectivity products that can be deployed quickly across home, office and hybrid work environments.
According to Ingram Micro director of Australia consumer, client and end-point solutions Mo Kandeel, j5create stands out because it controls much of its own pipeline, from design and research through to manufacturing and supply. He said that makes the vendor a valuable fit for Ingram Micro’s existing portfolio, particularly where customers want products aligned with Microsoft, Intel and Google environments.
j5create said it chose Ingram Micro because of the distributor’s reach and its ability to operate across multiple channels. Theresa Chu, the company’s Australia and New Zealand country sales manager, said the partnership would help expand its footprint in Australia after building an established presence in North America, Europe and Asia. The company also pointed to its control over development and production as a way to bring its connectivity range to a wider customer base.
The agreement adds to a run of recent distribution moves by Ingram Micro in Australia and beyond. The distributor recently secured regional rights for H2O.ai, while other announcements have shown it widening access to software and device-management vendors such as Jamf and Dropbox. Taken together, the deals suggest a broader push by Ingram Micro to deepen its relevance in channels where hardware, cloud services and endpoint management are increasingly sold as part of the same bundle.
