Identity Digital’s chief revenue officer, Matt Overman, has been honoured in CRN’s 2026 Channel Chiefs list, spotlighting his role in pioneering scalable, AI-driven partner programmes amid rising demand for innovative top-level domains and digital identity services.
Identity Digital’s chief revenue officer, Matt Overman, has been named to CRN’s 2026 Channel Chiefs list, a recognition that spotlights senior executives steering partner strategy across the IT channel. According to CRN, the list honours leaders responsible for channel programmes, alliances and routes to market through resellers, service providers and platform partners.
Overman is charged with driving sales and registry expansion at Identity Digital and oversees a partner ecosystem numbering more than 500 organisations, spanning domain registrars, website builders and SaaS platforms. The company provides registrar services through Name.com and offers integration options that allow partners to embed domain search, registration and DNS management directly into their products.
In a statement, Overman set out a partner-first strategy focused on scalable programmes and modern tooling. “My philosophy is centered on building scalable programs that reward partners who are agile, data-driven, and committed to the end-user experience,” he said, adding that Identity Digital is incorporating AI-driven features and contemporary APIs to reduce friction and boost customer retention. The remarks frame the award as validation of the company’s channel approach amid growing interest in digital identity.
Identity Digital also highlighted its work with major hosting and domain brands as part of its channel push. Paul Bindel, President of Business Operations at GoDaddy, said the partnership helps small and medium-sized business customers “own and strengthen their customer relationships” by delivering a seamless domain experience that keeps users within the partner ecosystem. The company positions such alliances as central to improving customer experience and long-term retention.
Beyond registrar activity, Identity Digital operates registry services for a broad set of top-level domains and describes its infrastructure as engineered to simplify TLD management and monetisation for registry operators. The firm, owned by private equity backer Ethos Capital and formed through acquisitions including Afilias, says it supports tens of millions of domains on its platform and runs a portfolio of descriptive and industry-specific extensions. The company has positioned itself as a pre-approved Registry Service Provider ahead of ICANN’s next application round for new top-level domains.
The announcement sits against a wider market trend away from a narrow reliance on legacy extensions towards creative, branded and industry-focused TLDs. Identity Digital points to customer success stories where distinct web addresses improved traffic and domain authority, while industry recognition, including repeated appearances on the Inc. 5000 list, underscores rapid growth and demand for alternative naming options among businesses and creators.
