Blaize Holdings and Yotta Data Services are launching a massive $56 million project to transform video surveillance in India through scalable, real-time AI-powered analytics, with plans to expand into the Middle East and beyond by 2026.
Blaize Holdings, Inc. has announced a major $56 million initiative to deploy its edge AI platform across more than 250,000 cameras in India, with Yotta Data Services as the end customer. This large-scale deployment aims to transform traditional video surveillance into a real-time, AI-powered analytics infrastructure that enhances public safety and security. The rollout, which began earlier this year, is planned to continue through 2026, with ambitions to extend the service beyond India into other regions, including the Middle East.
At the core of this initiative is a partnership that combines Blaize’s AI platform’s programmability and advanced multimodal performance with Yotta’s extensive digital infrastructure. The collaboration enables Yotta’s Hybrid AI infrastructure to deliver scalable video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) and analytics solutions tailored for enterprises and government agencies. According to Darshan Hirandani, Chairman and Co-founder of Yotta, the Blaize AI Platform’s flexibility provides the company the capability to scale its infrastructure efficiently while unlocking new opportunities for diverse sectors throughout the region.
Blaize’s CEO and Co-founder Dinakar Munagala describes this partnership as ushering in a new chapter in Hybrid AI infrastructure by marrying programmability with intelligence and security at scale. He emphasizes that their joint efforts not only bolster real-time analytics for public safety in India but also establish a replicable scalable model that can be deployed worldwide.
The deployment encompasses key capabilities such as AI-powered VSaaS tailored for government and enterprise use, real-time edge AI analytics for traffic management and license plate recognition, and seamless integration between edge inference and centralised cloud analytics platforms. This scalable architecture is designed to support national-level smart infrastructure frameworks, enabling governments and large organisations to modernise their security operations using cloud-native intelligence.
This initiative aligns with broader trends seen in Southeast Asia, where Blaize secured similar contracts involving the deployment of its edge AI platform across hundreds of thousands of intelligent surveillance endpoints. The platform’s hybrid AI design allows for efficient coordination between edge and centralised analytics—critical for managing dynamic urban environments. Technologies such as the Graph Streaming Processor (GSP) and a multimodal inference architecture have been instrumental in Blaize being selected for such projects.
Blaize’s AI platform complements smart city operations with features like real-time video intelligence, incident alerts, and traffic pattern analysis. Their “Smart Traffic in a Box” solution, which supports multi-camera ingestion and pre-trained AI models, showcases the practical applications of their technology in enhancing safety, mobility, and infrastructure efficiency.
Financially, Blaize’s Q2 2025 results highlighted significant progress in edge AI deployments, including this $56 million project with Yotta for smart infrastructure rollout in South Asia. Initial revenue from this contract is expected around the mid-2025 period. Coupled with other agreements, such as a $120 million deal with Starshine to provide sovereign-ready Hybrid AI infrastructure across Asia, Blaize is positioning itself strongly in the edge AI market for smart cities and public safety applications.
